Overview
As part of your performance management review you will have a set of standards assigned to you which will be appropriate to your job role. You will be rated against these standards by your line manager. You also have the opportunity to rate yourself against these standards.
Instructions
Rating yourself is a straightforward matter of selecting from the dropdown list of options in the Reviewee Rating column on the Standards section of the Portfolio page.
Practical Task:
- Select Home from the left-hand contents menu list
- Select the Me category on your Home screen
- Select the My Portfolio button from the top-bar
- Select the Standards tab
- Take each Standard in turn and select the down arrow in the Reviewee Rating column and select the most appropriate option from the list.
As you rate yourself the chart is updated, comparing your ratings with those of your line manager.
Notice the Standards circular graph is automatically updated with both your ratings and those of your line manager. The better the rating, the further out from the centre the point for the particular standard.
The graph shows if your own assessment of your standards roughly corresponds to that of your line manager or if you overestimate or underestimate your current level of performance compared to the assessment of your line manager.
Note that if you have a lot of standards, you can initially default them all to the same rating by clicking the small checkbox next to the REVIEWEE RATING column header. A popup box comes up (see below) with a down arrow to select a default rating. When the Update button is clicked all standards will be set to the value selected. You can then edit individual standards if you wish.
